What is Simponi?
Simponi is a tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) blocker that is prescribed for the management of several inflammatory autoimmune diseases. This biologic drug is used to suppress the overactive immune response that contributes to disease pathology.
How does this product work?
The active substance in Simponi incapacitates a key modulator of pro-inflammatory mediators; this has the effect of stopping an excessive immune response that is characteristic of certain types of autoimmune disorders. This leads to an improvement of symptoms and prevention against further disease progression.
