Description
This filler is composed of synthetic calcium hydroxylapatite particles, a compound found naturally in bone. This gel is biocompatible with human tissue and has an extensive and well-established safety profile. When injected into the skin, Radiesse (+) immediately corrects winkles and smooths skin by providing volume to the skin tissue. This dermal filler is also able to stimulate the gradual growth of the patient’s own collagen by encouraging the synthesis of fibroblast cells at the site of injection. This mechanism of action provides extended results that will benefit the patient even after the breakdown of the gel itself.
The new collagen produced will provide long term effects that will last at least a year, lasting longer than the effects imparted by hyaluronic acid dermal fillers.
